Wooden Friends
Project: An extra special wedding present for some extra special friends
This project was a collaboration with my clever sister.
We got them a serious present but wanted to give our friends something fun, so we made them .... them! Our friends are into collectables and have a heap of figurines - so now they have figurines of themselves.

Winter Hats
Pattern: Fleece Hats from Funky Friends Factory
Two super cozy hats for my kidlets. I enlarged the Baby Bonnet pattern so it would fit my 3 year old heads as the pattern is for babies. After making and trying on the first one, I lowered the back and shortened the ear flaps on the second one as they don't need to be done up under the neck. To fancy them up, they each have a button - chosen by the hat owner - sewn to the front.

Another notebook cover. I added an extra foldout pocket on this one to keep notes, receipts and other bits and pieces.

Black Dress
Pattern: Butterick B4389
I made this dress for my sister's wedding with some much needed help from my clever mumma. The fabric is Silk Dupion which is perfect to fancy up a simple dress. I made a belt from 40mm black ribbon that was pinned on with a brooch made from the same flowers that were on my sister's wedding dress.

Snap Frame Purse
Pattern: 200mm Purse Frame from Nicole Mallalieu
This was made for my sister as her wedding bag. She wanted a strap so I added a loop on each side, so the purse could have a detachable strap.

Chick and Egg
Pattern: Chick and Egg by Alan Dart
I made these as part of my handmade Easter tradition. To avoid possible chick confusion, my boy's chicks have blue wings and my girl's chicks have green wings.... not coincidentally, their favorite colours.

Wheat Bags
Project: Wheat Bag with removable cover
These are good old wheat bags, ready to keep two dinosaur-loving 3 year olds toasty warm this Winter.
Because they are for kids, I made the covers removable and therefore, washable.
